Wet Cleaning
The wet cleaning technique is a bit different from the traditional dry cleaning with water in terms of the products and mechanical labor. There is less mechanical action and a higher level of quality control. Sometimes, the process works well enough to revive your garments, as wet cleaning is able to get to stains in ways that cannot be cleaned through dry cleaning methods.
Some garments and textile items cannot be put in a household washing machine, e.g. duvet covers, comforters, dresses, leather garments, uggs, and fabrics with embroideries, sequins, glitter, and shimmer. Our Wet Cleaning Process
The wet cleaning process differs from the traditional laundry approach. It employs computer-controlled laundry devices, uses eco-friendly soaps, detergents, and conditioners and concludes the drying process using special precipitation-sensitive dryers.
Traditional dry cleaners use various chemicals such as perchloroethylene, a toxic solvent commonly known as “perc.” This chemical is used for many chemical cleaning cycles and can be harmful to the environment if improperly disposed of. It’s 1.5 times heavier than water and requires much higher temperatures to be completely removed from clothing.
Chemical cleaners that commonly advertise not using Perc for “greener,” “organic,” or “natural” solvents are generally referring to the chemical DF2000. Although it is less toxic than Perc, it is a chemical that can be found in car gasoline. While the process of wet cleaning does not use these chemicals, it refers to a truly environmentally friendly way of cleaning clothes and fabrics. This cleaning method is both safe for the environment and humans.
